Our Church
At Christ Church, Portsdown we have a thriving and
enthusiastic Junior Church which is organised into three age groups -
Preschool and Infants, Juniors, Senior School plus College:
- 3-6 year olds
- 7-10 year olds – Rocks
- 10+ year olds
In addition we have a Youth Group for Children in Year 9
at school and above. See here for more

The Junior Church meet in our church hall, adjacent to our church on the first, third and fifth Sunday in the month @ 10.30am
during school term time. We start together with a greeting, prayer and
Hymn then separate into our groups.
During Junior Church we learn about the bible
working in our separate groups using craft, stories, drama, music etc. We normally
join the main congregation towards the end of the communion service and receive a
blessing.
At some family services members of junior church lead
prayers and take part in the readings.
In December we organise a service during which we
perform a nativity drama with all Junior Church members taking part.
If you are interested in sending your child(ren) to
one of the groups or know someone else who would like to attend please come along and we will make you and your child
very welcome.
