Highlights of Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) held on March 23rd 2006

Revd Paul Norton chaired the Annual Parish Council meeting. Fifty parishioners
attended.
The Vicar said that due to his absence ( through ill health) there had been many
demands on the Ministry team. Presentations were made to Cynthia & Patrick
Whittle and the Revd. Sandy Phillips. The Vicar thanked them, and also the
Church Wardens, for all their hard work.
Electoral Roll;- There are 176 names on the Roll 93 live outside the Parish and
83 live within the Parish boundary. Anyone not on the Roll is encouraged to
complete an application form and hand to one of the Church Wardens or
sidepersons on duty.
Election of PCC members:- Rosemary Filtness & Sylvia Fisher were re–elected as
Church Wardens. Two new members, Jackie Quinn & Pauline Metcalfe, were elected
for the PCC. Thanks to Roger Banks & Alison Norton who have finished their term
on the PCC.
Child Protection Policy:- The PCC have appointed Fiona Wheatley as the Parish
Representative for the Child Protection. Fiona will assist the PCC in making
sure the policy is implemented within Christ Church. Gill Cross is trained and
authorised to manage child protection disclosure forms and arrange police
checks.
