Love Life Live Lent is a new way of
marking Lent. Instead of going on a detox or giving up chocolate, it
encourages people to undertake a simple act of generosity each day.

Prayer for this week:
Dear God
Thank you for today.
I am grateful for the good things
(say one thing out loud)
I bring before you the hard things
(add your own situations)
Help me to see you more clearly,
Love you more dearly,
and follow you more nearly,
day by day
Amen

Key things to do in the coming week:
Create a sacred space in your home to encourage quiet reflection and prayer - this could be:
- A corner of one room
- An under stairs cupboard (it's been tried !!)
- A corner of a shed or garage
Create a time in the day to pray, it could be together as a family.
- Thank God for the good bits
- try to find a way of preventing any bad bits.
Create a Sabbath time as a family
- Have a 'spend nothing' day:
Try to go a whole day without buying anything
- Have a "no screens" day:
switch off the TV, computer, games console and mobile - play games together instead.
- Do a creative activity together,
such as gardening, messing around with paints, clay or collage
- Do something that even the youngest can join in with and aim
to enjoy it rather than creating perfect works of art.
- Gather together some objects that are fun to touch, feel and smell -
such as a piece of velvet, feathers, a tray of sand, lavender bags or pine cones. Spend some time
enjoying the different textures and scents
- Make simple vegetable soup together:
Everyone can join in and help by chopping vegetables, stirring or setting the table. There are many recipes on the
internet including this one

Take a picture of you doing one of your actions
- Ask your parent or guardian to take a picture of you doing one
of your actions
- bring it to Church next week and pin it to the picture board.
